Yan Tomaszewski
Franco-Polish artist born in 1984
He graduated from the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris. He was invited for the following solo exhibitions (a selection): “The Boogeyman”, Middelheim Museum, Antwerp, 2015, “Szczuka’s chest”, Muzeum Sztuki, Lodz, 2014; “Museum of Reproduction”, Asymetria Gallery, Warsaw, 2013; “Embellissements”, Primo Piano Gallery, Paris, 2012. Yan Tomaszewski’s exhibition Message from Charlotte imagines a fictitious situation in the future. An apocalyptic landscape reveals a relic from the past: a time capsule from the Silesian town of Rydułtowy.
