Piotr Bujak

Interdisciplinary artist. Deals mainly with mixed media, video, video-installation, printing and object art.

Interdisciplinary artist. Graduate of the Faculty of Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, of New Genres at the San Francisco Art Institute and winner of the John William Fulbright scholarship program. Student of Lynn Hershman Leeson. Deals mainly with mixed media, video, video-installation, printing and object art. In his work he uses Fluxus DIY strategies, which he connects with the possibilities offered by digital reproduction and by the post-production potential of images registered by the camera. The distinctive feature of his projects is their austere, but very sophisticated formal minimalism. This very disciplined work conceptually refers to cultural clichés on violence, transience, beauty, fear or comfort, and is concentrated mainly on criticizing consumerism and oppressiveness of contemporary media chaos, as well as on a reflection on phobias and traumas originating from that.

Opening of the „Secession from the Broadcast” exhibition

Project is a kind of tribute to Gene Youngblood - one of the key theorists of culture and new media.

“Satan’s Children” exhibition open for three more days!

The exhibition does not have a historical nature. The issues emerging from the works and the need to confront the phenomena determining our lives are extremely relevant.
